Welcome to St. Mary Armenian Church

Welcome to

St. Mary Armenian Apostolic Orthodox Church

Our Mission Statement

The mission of the Armenian Church is to preach the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ and to proclaim its message of salvation. This mission is realized through Worship, Education, Witness, Service and common life in Christ as expressed in the distinctive faith-experience of the Armenian people. All members of the Armenian Church - both clergy and lay - are to participate fully in this mission.

ABOUT OUR CHURCH

Our church was consecrated in 1998. However, St. Mary's parish is the continuation of the first Armenian Church of Miami, which was named St. John the Baptist Armenian Church. It was established in 1951.

CHILDREN'S MINISTRIES

We have a Sunday religious school and Armenian language school for children and teenagers. We also hold annual summer Vacation Bible Camp. Our newly formed Armenian Church Youth Organization of America (ACYOA) is also an active part of our parish.

SERVICES

Church services, worship, Holy Badarak, and Great Lent prayer services take place throughout the year. Our Sunday morning Divine Liturgy begins at 10:30 AM and ends around 12:15 PM. A fellowship and coffee hour follows the church services. Occasionally, luncheon is also served.

 Dear Friends,

Please read the message below carefully.

The Khachkar Studios released details of its historically unprecedented US$10+ Million Support for U.S. Armenian Pilot Churches.
Let us be one of the Armenian Pilot Churches.

Fr. Vartan Joulfayan
St. Mary Armenian Church of Florida

On Friday, April 11, 2025, Khachkar Studios released details of its historically unprecedented US$10+ Million Support for U.S. Armenian Pilot Churches.

Selected U.S. Armenian Pilot Churches have the potential to receive between $40,000 to $80,000 per year, or $200,000 to $400,000 over the next 5 years of the project, by adopting world-class best practices in their communications, bible studies, and outreach to increase the number of Faithful that attend the Badarak.  The funds can be used as the pilot churches choose.

Increasing the number of Non-Holiday Badarak Faithful is our #1 key performance indicator (KPI #1).

To jumpstart the project, we will fund in April $10,000 to each of our selected U.S. Armenian Pilot Churches that completes the following four activities:

  1. Post this news on their digital platforms, e.g. websites, Facebook, YouTube, X, Instagram, and Telegram.

  2. Post the headline and two sub-headlines as news in their weekly bulletin.

  3. Emails to parishioners the press release.

  4. Have 20 role model parishioners listen to the Podcast.

To get up to speed on the project, we suggest those who are role models in their church community at the U.S. Armenian Pilot Churches start by: (A) listening to the short podcast, (B)  reading the press release with its 18 numbered points, and (C) reviewing the 12 pages of the Pilot Briefing Packet.   A, B, and C can be found at https://khachkarstudios.com/podcast-4/

May the spirit and power of God, Jesus, and the Bible be with you.

Best regards,
Chris Magarian
